The Rockets started game one like they were shot out of a cannon with Cam Hicklin scoring 12 seconds after the opening faceoff. The Blazers would respond well and bring the action to the Rockets for the next 10 min but the Rockets net minder Monteith and defensive zone held strong allowing the Rockets to capitalize on their first PowerPlay of the game with a goal from Rilen Kovacevic off a nice pass from Brennan Nelson.

In the second period the play was wide open with lots of back and fourth action. Quinn Paterson would score the loan goal with assists going to Jugnauth and (AP)Remy Spooner

In the third period the rough play and subsequent penalties would pick up and the Blazers would finally solve Monteith on a nice back door pass on the Blazers 5v3. Shortly after with 10 min to play the Rockets Teague Patton would convert on a 5v4 Power play of their own to seal the deal.
