Rockets Roll Through Ice

The Okanagan Rockets continue their strong 3rd periods against a hungry and hard working Kootenay Ice Team. 


The first game of the series Saturday morning started with the Ice striking first, scoring on their first shot of the game.  The Rockets were able to bounce back quick and were able to prevail with a 6-3 win. Riley Sharun carried scored a Hat trick (3 goals) while Hicklin, Kovacevic and Wightman kicking in 1 each. Cayden Hamming was strong in net when he needed to be. Shots were 47-15


In the second of the series on Sunday morning, the Rockets completed the sweep. The game started the same way with a fast start from Kootenay with a goal on the first shot. Rockets were tied 2-1 through two periods,  but a hard working third period and timely saves from Bailey Monteith allowed the Rockets to finish the game up 5-1. 5 different Rockets scored with all lines getting in on the action. Goals came from Sharun, Dobranski, Hicklin Patton and Krivoshen. Final Shots were 59-11. 


Rockets head to the Richmond Oval next weekend to take on the Greater Vancouver Canadians.
