Head Commits to West Kelowna Warriors

April 26, 2017

The West Kelowna Warriors of the BCHL announced Tuesday the commitment of Okanagan Rocket Wyatt Head for the 2017-18 season.

Head previously spent two seasons in an Okanagan Rockets uniform where he was a fixture on the Rockets blueline. In total Head tallied 39 points in in his two seasons with the Rockets (38 games) and was one of the Rockets top defensemen.

"I am very happy for Wyatt" Rockets Head Coach Eric Blais issued in a statement. "West Kelowna has added a great young defenseman to their roster. Wyatt has elite skating and puck skills and his on ice vision of the game in front of him is as good as I have coached. And as good as he is as a hockey player he is a better person and quality character."

Head got a taste for junior hockey this past season where he played in eight games and one playoff game as an affiliate player for West Kelowna during the 2016-17 season while still playing for the Rockets. In those eight games Head earned two penalty minutes.

The Rockets would like to express their congratulations to Wyatt and wish him the best of luck.
