Former Okanagan Rocket Justin Hickman has signed an entry-level contract with the NHL's Boston Bruins.
Hickman, the captain of the Seattle Thunderbirds spent the 2009-2010 season with the Rockets under the guidance of Misko Antisin where he posted 13 goals and 12 assists in 38 games with the major midgets.
In 2010-2011, Hickman made the jump to the Seattle Thunderbirds as a 16 year old and never looked back.
Last season, Hickman established career highs with 22 goals, 24 assists, and 46 points. He also led the "T-Birds" in penalty minutes with 154.
Hickman was Seattle's captain for the past two seasons.
Before a season ending injury derailed his overage campaign, Hickman had posted 9 goals and 19 assists for 28 points in 31 games.
Hickman's WHL career finishes with 55 goals and 77 assists in 285 games.
The 6'3", 218 pound forward accrued 466 penalty minutes.
