"Overall I'm pretty satisfied with our effort" said Rockets head coach Simon Ferguson. "I thought our game on Saturday was one of more complete efforts of the season, and then Sunday I think we let some old habits creep back in. Those habits are going to cause problems when we face some of the top tier teams, but we will keep at it and build towards the playoffs."
The two wins on the weekend improve the Rockets record to 19-7-2 on the season, good for 40 points and for the time being 2nd place in the BCMML standings. The NW Giants, and NE Chiefs are hot on the Rockets heels.
The victories improved the Rockets road record to 8-4-2. The trip to Nelson marked the mid-way point of a gruelling 12 straight games away from the Capital News Centre for the club.
Up next for the Rockets is a crucial match-up with the Vancouver NE Chiefs at the annual BCMML Showcase, this year being held in Richmond at the Olympic Oval.
