After Winless Mac's, Rockets Turn the Page to KIMMT

January 6, 2015

After a disappointing Mac's Midget Tournament in Calgary, the Rockets are hoping to turn the page and forget the ugly end that 2014 offered and start with a  clean slate at the annual KIMMT event running January 7th to 12th, primarily at Kelowna's Rutland Arena.

The Rockets are the defending KIMMT champs, but much has been made of the fact that this a new year with 19 new faces and new head coach.  While the Rockets are aiming to repeat, they know that there is much work to be done if that is to become a reality.

"We didn't play very well in Calgary, and now we have a chance to get back on track with a great tournament in our back yard" said first year coach Simon Ferguson.  "There has been a bit of a break coming off the Mac's and I hope that did our players well to re-charge and get things going back in a positive direction."

The Rockets will open defence of their KIMMT crown on Wednesday afternoon when they take on the Delta Wild U18 Prep squad.
