Finlay on the Move in the BCHL

October 28, 2014

The Penticton Vees dealt one of the leading producers in the history of the Okanagan Rockets on Tuesday afternoon as they dealt forward Liam Finlay to the Vernon Vipers.

Finlay, a 17 year old forward in his first season with the Vees notched 1 goal and 4 assists in his first 10 games this season.

In 68 games with the Rockets, Finlay posted 27 goals and 74 assists for 101 points. Finlay's 74 assists rank 1st in club history, while his point total ranks 2nd.

During his time with Rockets, Finlay was especially dangerous on the power play and will no doubt be looked to bolster the Vipers power play unit.

Finlay has committed to the University of Denver for the 2016-2017 season.

The Vipers line-up now boasts four members of the 2013-2014 Rockets BCMML championship roster.  Finlay joins former captain Branden Wagner, Linden Hora, and defenceman Mitchell Oliver.

Finlay's first game in a Vipers uniform will come on Saturday as they host the Merritt Centennials.
