The Okanagan Rockets suffered their 1st loss of the young season on Saturday afternoon at the Capital News Centre at the hands of their top rivals, the Vancouver NW Giants.
The lone goal for the Rockets came of the stick of Lucas Cullen, his 3rd of the season.
The Rockets never led on Saturday trailing 1-0 early, and 2-1 after 40 minutes.
"I thought our start was fine, but as the game wore on we seemed to get further and further away from our game plan." said Rockets head coach Simon Ferguson. "Our club has to work hard to have success, we will shelf this loss and come back tomorrow."
Jordan Reynolds made his 3rd straight start in goal for the Rockets and stopped 20 of 24 shots the Giants directed his way. David Tendeck stopped 34 of 35 shots the Rockets fired his way.
The loss dropped the Rockets to 2-1-0, while the Giants improved to a perfect 5-0-0.
The weekend set wraps up tomorrow morning at 10:00 am.
