Kilburn Begins his Junior Career in Bonnyville with the Pontiacs

September 8, 2014

Former Rockets goaltender Reid Kilburn will spend the 2014-2015 season with the AJHL's Bonnyville Pontiacs.

Kilburn spent two seasons with the Rockets from 2012-2014.  During his BCMML career, Kilburn posted an impressive record of 30-7-3 with a 2.45 goals against average.

Kilburn's MML career culminated by backstopping the Rockets to a thrilling OT win in the Bronze Medal game of the Telus Cup, the Canadian midget national championships.

"We are very excited for Reid to be making the jump to junior hockey, it was a true pleasure getting to know Reid over the past couple of seasons, and I have no doubt that he will become a strong junior goaltender for many years to come." said Rockets general manager David Michaud.

With Kilburn's addition to Bonnyville for the upcoming season, 18 of  the 20 Okanagan Rockets  from last season are currently with either Junior A, or Major Junior clubs.
